Emergency meeting: Srpska's new secession from Bosnia
It's December 2025, after 30 years of reletive stability in Bosnia Herzegovina, tensions have boiled over and the Serbian majority entity Republika Srpska has once again declared indepedence. In this hypothetical scenario, delegates will have to tackle a sticky situation which may soon become reality and try to find a solution which prevents further escalation and possible armed ethnic conflict from returing to the Balkans.
The UNSC is the body of the UN which is tasked with upholding international peace and security. It is the only UN body which can take legally binding decisions or authorise the use of force, but often deadlocks due to the veto right of the 5 permanent members. Due to its special rules and tough-to-navigate topics, it is best suited for more experienced delegates.
