Who can participate?
The conference is open to university students from across the Netherlands and the globe, regardless of MUN experience.
When and how can I apply ?
Chair applications are open from June 9th to July 29th 2025.
Delegate applications are open from August 24th to November 2nd 2025

How are applicants selected?
Delegates are selected based on motivation and background to ensure a high-quality debate environment.
What is the schedule of the conference?

Thursday: Chair arrival and Chair’s Social.

Friday: Delegate arrival. Opening Ceremony with keynote by Ambassador Ronald Keller, first committee session, and social event.

Saturday: Committee sessions and socials.

Sunday: Final committee sessions and Closing Ceremony with awards. Departure.
Will there be social events?
Yes. Socials are held off-campus on Friday and Saturday evenings. The socials are included in the delegate fees. Drinks are not provided for free, unless explicitly stated otherwise by the organizers. Delegates are advised to bring sufficient funds if they wish to purchase refreshments during social events.
What makes AmsterMUN different from other MUNs in Amsterdam?
Unlike smaller or association-exclusive MUNs (e.g. UvAMUN, AUCMUN), AmsterMUN is internationally oriented, open to external applicants, and aims for high academic standards through its Academic Advisory Board and rigorous background guide process.
Who organizes the conference?
The event is organized by the AmsterMUN Secretariat, a committee of SIB-Amsterdam, the Dutch United Nations Student Association.
Do you provide visa invitation letters?
Group Delegations:
Yes, but only for verified groups. To request a group visa invitation letter, you must provide:

⚠️ All participants must first pay the €50 conference fee.

Individual Participants:
Unfortunately, we cannot issue visa invitation letters for individual applicants. You are still welcome to register, but you must arrange your own travel documents.
