The conference is open to university students from across the Netherlands and the globe, regardless of MUN experience.

Chair applications are open from May 17th to June 1st 2026

Delegates are selected based on motivation and background to ensure a high-quality debate environment.

• Thursday: Chair arrival and Chair’s Social.

• Friday: Delegate arrival. Opening Ceremony with keynote by Daniel Prins, first committee session, and social event.

• Saturday: Committee sessions and socials.

​

• Sunday: Final committee sessions and Closing Ceremony with awards. Departure.

Yes. Socials are held off-campus on Friday and Saturday evenings. The socials are included in the delegate fees. Drinks are not provided for free, unless explicitly stated otherwise by the organizers. Delegates are advised to bring sufficient funds if they wish to purchase refreshments during social events.

Unlike smaller or association-exclusive MUNs AmsterMUN is internationally oriented, open to external applicants, and aims for high academic standards through its Academic Advisory Board and rigorous background guide process.

The event is organized by the AmsterMUN Secretariat, a committee of SIB-Amsterdam, the Dutch United Nations Student Association.

AmsterMUN 2026 may issue visa support letters at the Secretariat's discretion, evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Issuance is not guaranteed and depends on individual circumstances.

Delegates who require a visa letter should contact amstermun@sibamsterdam.nl as early as possible, including their full name, nationality, and delegation, to allow sufficient time for review.

Unfortunately, we do not issue refunds for applicants after assignment.
